<BODY BGPROPERTIES="FIXED" BGCOLOR="#FFFFFF"> <HEAD> <title>About The Author</title> </HEAD> <BODY bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <H1><center>About The Author</center></H1> <P> Bouncing Bitmaps! was written by Jonathan Marler, who also created and maintains the Bouncing Bitmaps! website. <P> I am an independant contractor with Starion Computers and also work full-time for Southwest Corporate Federal Credit Union in Dallas, TX as a LAN Analyst. <P> I have been working with PC systems for 13 years, and as a result have a great deal of experience with legacy systems. I have worked on a wide range of systems from the Commodore VIC20 / 64 all the way to today's multi-processor Intel systems. <P> Currently I write PC software in Microsoft Visual Basic and Borland's Delphi. I chose to migrate to Delphi after learning exactly how much more powerful Delphi is as a development tool than Visual Basic. I used Delphi to write the Bouncing Bitmaps! screen saver because of it's multi-threading capabilities, and native code compiler. <H2>What's Next?</H2> <P> I am currently working on 2 other applications in Delphi, which should be finished towards the end of 1996 or the beginning of 1997.
